  • Largest Project: 62 sheet metal components in 3D CAD with 2D prints, GD&T compliant, and unconventional features, designed from scratch for an Inc 5000 firm based in Boston.
  • Launched small business helping brick & mortar product stores go to market online within a curated 8-month accelerator, achieving $182,000+ in annual gross revenue Year 1.

  • Developed iPhone case button testing fixtures – sheet metal and water jet.
  • Developed 15+ concept designs for iPhone case buttons for new case programs, elevating to CAD assemblies for prototype-level manufacturing.
  • Designed two plaque level button compliance and user hand feel tools to assist in geometry and material downselection for formative case button designs
  • Formed new FEA procedures & corresponding ANSYS models for evaluating case button peak forces, click ratios (CRs), & case extraction forces with parameterization support, conducting Design of Experiments & statistical analysis to evaluate favorable design changes.

Activ Surgical - Mechanical Engineering Co-op, Boston, MA

  • Designed, fabricated, and assembled a custom sheet metal enclosure to MIL Spec standards for laser light collimation with background EMF protection, shielded cabling, and humid-proofing.
  • Advanced a comprehensive quality management system consisting of a web PLM application, SolidWorks PDM library, and LOTO cabinet, tracing over 500 items in between contractors and demonstrating $2.7M in potential product savings from an exemplary supply chain analysis.
  • Developed a laparoscopic stereoscope prototype for depth imaging in minimally invasive tissue surgeries alongside numerous time-of-flight depth imaging fixtures, working primarily within the sub-900nm laser spectral range.
  • Designed and tested 20+ custom electrical cables for a laser-powering imaging device, conducted an advanced RSS tolerance analysis of a diode collimation stackup, and wrote an approved labeling requirements specification document per FDA 21 CFR regulations.

Infinite Cooling - Mechanical Design Intern, Boston, MA

  • Developed high-level BOMs quoted as “the best ever seen in the industry” (Kalow Technologies, 06/2019), SolidWorks parts, and detailed SolidWorks drawings for mechanical design packages for $100k+ high-voltage electric precipitator retrofits on power plant cooling towers.
  • Designed, manufactured, and tested a high-pressure pneumatic actuator system with sequential, timed actuations and a load support of several thousand pound-force after procuring several revisions of a comprehensive P&ID.
  • Conducted static load analysis, wind deflection analysis, complex CoD analysis, and pneumatic pressure drop calculations in SolidWorks FEA, ANSYS, and Excel.
  • Designed and assembled multiple in-house testing fixtures for cooling tower plume simulation purposes.
  • Worked to integrate a GrabCAD repository with a reformatted company CAD nomenclature.
